Finding the Suitcase Fusion 4 logs

Description

I don’t know where to find the Suitcase Fusion 4 logs and I need them for troubleshooting purposes.

Solution

  • On Windows XP, the Suitcase Fusion 4 logs are found in:
    C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Extensis\Suitcase Fusion\Suitcase Fusion 4 Logs

    Note: In Windows XP, the user’s Local Settings folder is not visible by default. To make hidden folders visible in Windows Explorer, go to the Tools menu and select “Folder options…”; click on the View tab, and under Advanced Settings select “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” then click ‘Apply’.

  • On Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8, the Suitcase Fusion 4 logs are found in:
    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Extensis\Extensis\Suitcase Fusion\Suitcase Fusion 4 Logs

    Note: In Windows Vista and Windows 7 the user’s AppData folder is not visible by default. To make hidden folders visible in Windows Explorer, go to the Organize menu and select “Folder and Search Options”; click on the View tab, and under Advanced Settings select “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” and click Apply.

    In Windows 8, go to the View menu and select “Options”; click on the View tab, and under Advanced Settings select “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” then click Apply.

  • On Mac OS X, the Suitcase Fusion 4 logs are found in:
    /Users/[username]/Library/Logs/Extensis/Suitcase Fusion 4 Logs

    NOTE: In Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8 the user’s Library folder is not visible in the Finder. To reach the Library folder, hold the Option key down and click on the Go menu in the Finder; there will now be a “Library” option.
