Adobe Illustrator CC Issues When Tahoma or Verdana are Missing

I’m seeing a number of issues with Illustrator CC:

• When I make changes to a document, the screen takes a while to update or doesn’t update at all
• It quits unexpectedly
• It fails to quit when I try to close the application

Solution

These issues can happen if the fonts Tahoma and Verdana are not available. Here’s a simple solution:

• Add Tahoma and Verdana to Suitcase Fusion or Universal Type Client
• Permanently activate both fonts
