When Portfolio Server 11 tries to catalog a Flash (.swf) file on Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) or later, the following dialog is displayed:
Solution
The Portfolio Server 11 media engine uses Gnash to generate previews for Adobe Flash files. Gnash on Mac OS X requires X11, but X11 is not installed on OS X 10.8 or later.
To install Gnash, click the ‘Continue’ button in the dialog. You can also find X11 installers for Mac OS X at the XQuartz project.
