Description
Sometimes Illustrator CS6 doesn’t show me confirmation dialogs when I do certain things, such as closing a document after making changes.
Solution
This issue has been reported with both Suitcase Fusion 4 and Universal Type Client 3.3 auto-activation plugins. If something is done in Illustrator that presents the user with a dialog box that has a default action selected, that default action will be taken before the user has a chance to click on anything. The most commonly reported issue related to this is when someone makes a change to an Illustrator document and then goes to close it. A confirmation dialog is supposed to display, giving the user an option to save the changes or close without saving. The default action is to save the changes, which means that some unwanted changes may end up in the document because it is saved and closed automatically.

If this is causing you problems, we recommend disabling the Auto-activation plugin until an update is available.
We will update this article once a solution is available.
